Antonia Lofaso
Antonia's cuisine is a means to enter her mind. She developed a curiousity about food after moving from the suburbs of Long Island to the diverse cultural landscape that is Los Angeles. She believes that cavatelli and carnitas can co-exist in harmony on a single menu portrays a style that is constantly evolving. Every dish she serves is infused with a unique vision for the future, but also with a nostalgic look at the previous. Scopa Italian Roots is a restaurant which was established by Lofaso in the year 2013. She opened it because of her Italian-American background. Lofaso has received praise by her fans for her rendition of traditional Italian food. Lofaso is described by many as a local favorite who consistently delivers dishes that are authentic, tasty and welcoming. Lofaso had been an apprentice to culinary masters, absorbing their techniques as well as taking risks. She never hesitated in doing so, merely following her instincts. She worked with a variety of famous people and quickly rose through the ranks in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. Lofaso along with Sal Aurora partnered in 2011 to launch Black Market Liquor Bar Studio City. Lofaso was able to settle in the Black Market. Her creative independence will be facilitated with this partnership. Black Market has no one idea in its head and that's the way it goes. The course could start with dill potato chips and shishito peppers, followed by an ice cream roll Korean wings and a variety of meatballs. The underlying ingredient in this dazzling variety of tastes is Antonia. In her long career Lofaso has measured her success with her exceptional ability to connect with her viewers while staying authentic to her personality. In the course of her career, both Top Chef Chicago episode and Top Chef: All Stars highlighted her capacity to be herself outside the cooking environment. Since then, she has continued her career in front of cameras with CNN's Restaurant Startup Judge as well as regular appearances on The Food Network's Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child. Lofaso joined forces together with Penguin Publishing to create The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 recipes of easy, Delicious, Home Cooked Meals. In the publication, she describes her life as a mom and student in the French Culinary Institute. Lofaso believes that her achievements are the result of her love of cooking and she is in a position to stay on the pulse of the industry through her work on her kitchen. Through her Chefletics brand, she is altering the appearance of her field by redesigning chefwear for both style and practicality. Lofaso wants to be true to the goals of her customers. She's created Antonia Lofaso Catering to help in achieving that.
